Carissa Oyedele received a Bachelor of Architecture degree with a minor in Construction Management from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Her education provided a solid foundation for solving creative design solutions to various project types, including those with complex programs, schedules, and delivery methods. 

Carissa is committed to creating the highest level of design to better the built environment and provide spaces that improve the quality of life for others. With project experience ranging from masterplans to competitions, mixed-use, campus, and civic work, Carissa’s breadth of experience extends into local, national, and international communities. Currently, her focus is leading various American embassy projects with the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) around the globe. 

In addition to Carissa's international portfolio, she is an active member of the AIA, and has been since the onset of her career. Within the Los Angeles Chapter, she is a Board of Director (2016-2018), Chair of the Design Awards Committee (2016), past Chair for Academic Outreach and 2x8 Committee (2009-2011), and an active participant and advocate for the Women In Architecture Committee. Extending into further professional engagements, Carissa is an IDP Coordinator, and NCARB Licensing Advisor, is actively involved in California Architects Board CSE Development Workshops, and introduces young students at John Adams Middle School to potential careers in architecture.
