7th Annual Ultra-High Rise Summit

7th Annual Ultra-High Rise Summit

Principal Chris Chan speaks at the 2014 7th Annual Ultra-High Rise Summit: AIA Shanghai Plenary Session. This year the conference was part of Urban PAECO Real Estate Week. The session was devised as a conversation about how tower building design and construction can be improved to better deliver on the premise of improving cities, work and lifestyles. Many towers done today still rely upon methods developed since the 1930s while extremely few towers use the latest technology and innovations we all talk about…a fraction of these truly effective in achieving their lofty performance or sustainability goals. Chris' point-of-view talk centered on quality of life for occupants of towers. Participants included: Greg Yager, Vice-President RTKL (moderator); Silas Chiow, Director SOM China; Christopher Chan, Principal, Moore Ruble Yudell; Michael Kwok, Director ARUP China; and Bob Pratt, Managing Director China, Tishman Speyer.
