Cooper Residence

Cooper Residence
Palm Springs
California

Designed by Ric A. Harrison and built in 1967, the two bedroom, two bath 1600 square feet residence is an example of Palm Springs mid-century modern. The concept was to update and improve upon existing architectural legacy and infuse technological and sustainable attributes to this seasonal home.

Moore Ruble Yudell Interiors did a complete renovation to the rooms, including new doors, windows, and openings between the kitchen and living room. Updates were done to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and AV. All rooms received new lighting, finishes, millwork, art and furniture. Classic Mid-century modern furnishings clearly reinforce the architectural period. Mid-century inspired tiles and textiles by Angela Adams complement the existing palette and textured block walls throughout. Outdoors, the courtyard has a new BBQ, water feature, and landscaping, and a new fire pit with book-matched Calcutta marble, designed to reflect the mountain range views.
