Grangegorman Campus in Dublin Opens to DIT Students

Grangegorman Campus in Dublin Opens to DIT Students

On Monday, September 8, 2014, the first 1,200 students from Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) will be starting classes in renovated historic structures. After 8 years of planning, design and construction, the Phase 1 landscape, public realm and infrastructure elements are now in place, with construction of new buildings to follow. Eventually, with the completion of the entire campus planned for 2020, DIT will accommodate a population of 21,500 students and 2,500 faculty and staff, with a further potential increase of 30%. The landmark Grangegorman development creates a vibrant new campus on a historic site with facilities for DIT, Ireland’s national healthcare service (the HSE), and amenities for the local community.
