Kaoru Orime
Kaoru Orime has worked with Moore Ruble Yudell as both an architectural designer and an expert in the field of colors and materials since 2000. Her design experience covers a wide range of regional and global projects, from single-family residences, to cultural/civic work, to large scale town and campus planning. During the design process, Kaoru strives to understand the inherent complexity, challenges and opportunities within each project. Her work respects not only program and budget, but also the importance of place.
Kaoru came to the United States from her native Japan in 1991 to further her interest in the arts. While studying the art of colors and materials under her mentor Tina Beebe, Kaoru received her architectural degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture. Kaoru draws inspiration from many aspects of her life; from studying the way colors and textures work in nature, to her cultural heritage.
