Takuji Mukaiyama
Takuji Mukaiyama came to the United States from his native Japan to study architecture. While a student at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), he met James Mary O’Connor, who encouraged him to take an internship at Moore Ruble Yudell. After graduating from SCI-Arc with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2006, he became a full-time employee of Moore Ruble Yudell.
Takuji’s education provided a solid foundation for solving creative sustainable design solutions to various project types. Since joining the firm, Takuji has worked on such diverse projects as Chun Sen Bi An housing in China, the Student Community Center, at University of California, Berkeley, and the Sustainability Study for the Ruddell House in Kauai, Hawaii.
